Below is the proposed schedule for this year Shabarimale Piligrimage. Kindly review the same and and post your comments. Please confirm your participation by 5th of June as we need to book train tickets(to and fro). Make sure to forward this information to swamies who are willing to join this year shabarimale piligrimage.
Pls note a change in this year is we are planning for 2 nights train travel and avoiding the 2 day travel (and so added few more places).
Aug 16 :
- 3 PM Assemble at Ravi House. 4PM– 8 PM IRUMUDI FUNCTION -> 9:30 PM Board TRAIN to THRISSUR
Aug 17 :
- 8:30 AM Arrival at THRISSUR visit THRISSUR Temple (10:00 A.M to 12 PM) -> GURUVAYUR TEMPLE(4:00 to 7)-> MAMMIYUR GURUVAYUR Temple (7-8PM) -> SEYVELI GURUVAUYUR TEMPLE (8:15 PM to 10 PM)
Aug 18 :
- 3:30 AM Departure to CHOTANEKERE TEMPLE -> KODUNGALLUR (4:30 AM – 5:30 AM) -> CHOTANEKERE TEMPLE (7:30 – 9:30 AM) -> ETTEMANUR TEMPLE (10:30 – 11:15 PM) -> ERUMELI (12:30 – 1:30 PM) -> PAMPA (3:30 -4:30 PM) -> SANNIDANA (6 PM)
Note : ETTAMANUR Temple visit depends on the time available and considering reaching PAMPA on time
Aug 19 :
- Reach PAMPA (3 PM) -> CHENGANUR TEMPLE Evening Darshan (7 PM)
Aug 20
- CHENGANUR TEMPLE Morning Darshan (4:30 – 6:30 AM) -> PANDALAM Temple and ACHANAKOVIL Temple ( 7:30AM – 9:30 AM) -> VAIKUM ( By 11:30 or 4 PM Darshan) -> Board Train at ERNAKULUM 8:15 PM
Yesterday me and Prashanth visited Ravindra's house and had a discussion about Shabarimale Program. Ravindra had concerns regarding catching train immediately after irumudi function.
ReplyDeleteHe suggested to explore bus and cook option. He said he will be checking with travel agent on the cost to avail bus facility.
There are still some concerns where to stay at thrissur before aheading towards Guruvayoor.

As part of this year’s pilgrimage plan, multiple options were explored with some tentative estimates.
ReplyDeleteIdea is to go by bus from Bangalore and take cook with us this time. As of today around 39 swamis have confirmed. If we can add additional 3 people (i.e. 39+3=42 and + 3 cooks) the amount will come down to approximately 7000/- per head.
As usual we need to make sure we will have 42 and no last minute drop outs, so please get back to us with your opinion
by COB today.
